Do I need to download an app to tip?
No,
it is not necessary to download an application. Just scan the QR Code and be

How much does the worker receive when I leave a tip?
Every time you leave a tip with
TackPay,
you are sure that the tip goes to those who deserve it. The single
worker or team will receive the amount you have selected minus the
payment fees that apply to each transaction... unless you decide to

Does my tip always reach the profile I selected?
The tip always reaches the
profile you selected. If you tip a jar with a custom division rule,
your tip will be divided equally between the entire staff.
How much does Tackpay cost?
TackPay is completely free for
those who leave tips,
as the payment commission is deducted from the amount received by
Tipped. If you want,
you're free to cover
the transaction fees on their behalf 💚.
Are the tips fixed or can I choose the amount?
You can choose the amount you
want. There are default buttons with predefined amounts,
but you can easily customize your tip or caluclate it with our tip
calculator.
Can I just leave feedback?
No,
to leave feedback and/or a reviee you must first leave a tip.
Can I tip and give a negative feedback?
If you want to leave a tip but
you didn't like something,
you can use the open field form in the feedback page. Your opinion
will be taken into consideration to improve the quality of the

I do?
If the worker or the venue
you're in doesn't have TackPay,
the only thing you can do at the moment is suggesting them to create
a profile on TackPay asap.

How does TackPay for teams work?
TackPay fully automates tips management,
division and distribution within your facility. It's an easy way to encourages

the best service. TackPay provides you with useful information about customers

How can I create a shared tip jar for my team?
In order to create a shared tip jar you have to sign
up as a "Team" and to choose the "shared jar" option. After that it's super
easy: invite your staff by clicking on
the "+" button. You can send them the link or if they already registered as
"tipped" you can add them by typing their TackPay ID.
How can I create a private tip jar for my team?
With a private tip jar you can
collect tips on behalf of your staff. You need to sign up as a "Team"
and then choose the "private" jar option. In case you created a shared
jar,
just delete/uninvite your colleagues and make sure you activly
participate in the tip jar (every jar needs at least 1 active profile).
Click on the icon in the right corner to visualize and change all the
settings.
Why do I have to create a private jar and not a tipped
profile?
If you register as an Individual the
customer will see your private name,
your photo and your professional category. The Individual profile is
designed for receiving tips as an individual. With the "private" tip
jar the customer will see the photo,
bio and category related to your company instead.
Wich tips splitting rule I should use?
If you create a shared tip
jar,
you can decide whether the tips will be individual (the tip goes
to the customer's choice) or whether they will be pooled
independently
of the customer's choice. Choose the division rule that best
fits your existing division.
Discuss this with colleagues and make sure everyone agrees.
Wich QR code should I print out?
If you have only one tip
jar you have only one QR code to display. If you create more
than one jar the main QR code will refer to a pre-filtering page
where the customer can choose which jar to reward. You can have
the specific QR code for every jar you created. Download the
specifc QR code from the page inside every jar: customer
immediately lands on the right staff.
Example: if you
create more jars related to different staffs in one location
(for example an hotel) you can decide to show the main QR code
and so the pre-filtering view. If the jars represents different
locations it's better to show the specific QR codes.
Receive tips (or not) managing a shared tip jar
If you participate in tip sharing you need to create a new Individual
profile
and invite yourself into the jar as you would any other member.
I manage multiple staffs/locations
If you manage more staffs
or locations you can handle all of them with a single TackPay
profile. You can create several tip jars: place the specific tip
jar's QR code
(to bring the customer on the right tipping page -> right
staff/location) or place only your main QR code to shows all the
jars you created.
I have multiple locations or venues
You can create up to 5 tip
jars within your TackPay profile. If you are a franchising or a
brand with many locations and you need a specific solution

To start using our solution

create a team (by sending an invitation link to your employees)

Can the BOH (kitchen staff) participate in the division
of tips?
Of course! The kitchen
staff can participate in the division of tips, as long as the
individual members are part of the jar. The only difference with
the service staff, is that the BOH staff members cannot be
viewed on the tipping page and they can't receive
individual feedback and comments. If the rule set is "split tips
equally", they will still receive their share of tips.
What is the difference between my personal QR Code and
the team's QR Code?
Tips sent through your
personal QR Code will arrive directly and only to your TackPay
account. Tips sent through your team QR Code (jar), are
allocated based on the jar's rule: tips could go
directly to the worker selected by the customer or they could be
divided equally among all team members.
How is it possible to divide tips?
Currently it is possible to
choose between 2 division rules: with the first one, each tip
goes to the profile that made it, i.e. that is selected by the
customer;
with the second one, all tips are divided equally among the
staff. We are working on a third rule, based on the hours worked
by individual employees.
Do I have to do something to manage tips fiscally?
In countries different from
USA, Canada or others where tips are fully regulated, you don't
have to do anything! If you create a shared jar with your staff
your
company will be disintermediated from the management of tips.
Tips pass through us, not through the till. If you create a
private jar with the company's bank account linked, you do not
have to do anything different from what
you have always done: you can have a new channel other than the
card machine to receive digital tips. In any case you can easily
track all the tips made directly form your dashboard.
Do tips have to be declared?
TackPay helps you by
providing a summary of all the tips received, then it is up to
the individuals to understand whether or not to declare them
based on their country law. If in your country tips are taxed
then you have to, otherwise proceed as you would for any other
digital payment you receive (e.g. on paypal)

It is not necessary for
you to download the app, but we recommend it as it is much
more convenient than the web experience.
When can I withdraw my tips?
Our payment provider
makes the balance withdrawable within a few days. Your tips
will be immediately visible in your balance and you will be
constantly informed about your "available" and "in transit"
balance.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Our payment provider
requires a proof of identity in order to enable you to
receive online payments. This is a common practice around
the world and is required under anti-money laundering and
terrorist financing rules. This is a useful security measure
for you and for the overall ecosystem. This verification
helps confirm the identity of users to prevent fraud,
simplify risk operations, and increase trust and security.
Sometimes, depending on the country,
it is possible to receive payments even without verifying
identity, but in ordeer to be 100% up and running and redeem
your tips, upload a document to the relative page as soon as
possible.
What if I already have tips on my balance and can't
validate my identity document? Why can' t I change the
country?
By contract and for
anti-money laundering reasons, our payment provider cannot
change the country to a profile that has already been
created. You can change your address, but only intra-state.

This means that if you registered with a country other than
the one on your documents, for example you enter "USA" but
your document states "Spain" you will not be able to
withdraw tips since the provider will not be able to verify

mean that you cannot receive tips in countries other than
your own, but that when registering you must enter the
country in which you reside or related to that on your
documents for verification purposes. If you have already
received tips and are unable to verify your profile with our
payment provider (because your account was created for one
country and your document mentions another) they will be
returned to the people who left them and you will have to
open a new account, this time with your correct personal
information, to be operational.
Why is my social sequirty number required?
By law, Stripe (our
payment provider) must ask for your SSN to make sure you are
who you say you are. Your SSN is for identity verification
ONLY. Stripe is federally required to officially know
someone connected to the account. Your information is secure
and Stripe doesn’t run credit checks, so inputting your SSN
for this purpose won’t affect your credit score. TackPay has
no access to your banking data, so we don't store it and
your privacy is tightly controlled. Stripe keeps all the
information you
enter in Stripe safe with bank-level security measures.
